Writing romance is magical, isn’t it? I love it, and that’s why I weave romantic subplots into my action-packed paranormal fantasies. Whether it’s Isabella and Brande from The Gray Tower Trilogy, or Noah and Raina from the Immortal Brotherhood series, I just love two characters who THINK they know what they want suddenly finding their possible soul mate and grappling with what it ultimately means for them. However…when it comes to writing romance or romantic subplots, what’s NOT magical is dodging a growing list of clichés, finding a fresh angle that hasn’t been done to death, or stalling mid-story with no idea how to fix it.
